Album: North Western Yunnan endemic Pavo antiqus
(Deqen,Lijang,Sichuan; LIKELY A VALID SPECIES ISOLATED SINCE PLIOCENE The Deqen Dragonbird has never been formally described in science literature. It's home range straddles the mighty rivers from which all modern forms of continental Green Peafowl have evolved. It may well be the closest living relative of the mega proportioned, extinct fossil form Pavo bravadi. Fossils of Pavo bravadi have been discovered in Pliocene deposits throughout Europe and East Africa.

| Album: Kunming imperator{ Wenshan, Quijing,Central and Western Yunnan regions)LIKELY A VALID SPECIES WITH ITS OWN SUB-SPECIFIC RACES The Kunming or central Yunnan form is linked genetically and morpholgically with the easternmost imperator lineage
whose historical range included the coast of Tonkin from the mouth of the Black River in China to Southern Thailand.
being a basal genotype, there are some inferred relationships or shared cladistic traits with the Shan Plateau morphotype of spicifer.
This is all the more compelling for the discovery of the phylogentic clade that includes Salween, and Southern spicifer which links weakly with the Uthai race of annamensis.
